Spring has Sprung and Games are fun!

2 Scoops has teamed up with some inspiring bloggers who want to share a great game, freebie and raffles with you. Just follow along and hop from blog to blog to grab some great ideas and a lot of freebies for your class to play and learn with.

I always like to incorporate a little fun each week by adding something extra to the curriculum that I feel my kiddos will enjoy.
This past week was no exception, my kindergarten class had a full week of Baseball fun! My kinders loved it! We read baseball stories, wrote about baseball, created a baseball rebus story, did  baseball addition and subtraction problems. We also ran bases and counted how many hits we made and much more! We even wore our favorite jerseys to school one day.

My kiddos love to play, so they are always more engaged when we are playing a fun game. (Shh - don't tell them but we are always learning too!)

One of the games they really enjoyed was I Have, Who Has!  During Math Centers I had a small group of five children. They set out four baseball I Have, Who Has cards in front of them.  The group was of varied abilities which worked out because they were very happy to help each other. We went around the table taking turns figuring out our math problems until we got to the last card. When we were done, they all yelled "Let's do it again!"  Not only were we having fun but we were also learning our math facts to 20. We had even more fun playing the second time around. If your class has never played this game before, you need to introduce them to it. I guarantee they will be asking to play it again and again!

TRADE and Grade Product Swap

2 Scoops of Kindergarten had a ball swapping products with The Teachable Teacher, Lauren. She has a class in CA which was a perfect fit for my class. Though we are across the country I have a class filled with ELL students also. I am always looking for products that review certain skills and this packet was perfect for them. This Independent Work would be perfect for any kindergarten class though.

I decided to use her product at Guided Reading time so I could see just a few students at a time working on this useful resource. They loved the challenge this independent work gave them and also it reviewed numerous skills which were perfect for my kinders. Vowel identification, cvc words, months, days of the week, and sight word practice were some of the skills in this packet.

Here are a few of my cuties doing the packet. A lot of the answers such as months and days were written all over my room - so all of a sudden they were getting up to copy the month or day or check out the vowels hanging to make sure their answers were correct.  I love this because I always say to use all of the print around the class to help you when you are writing.

Try out her FREEBIE here.

This product swap gave me the opportunity to meet another wonderful kindergarten teacher and become a new follower to her blog and store, The Teachable Teacher. Please visit her store and grab this fabulous product. I know you will enjoy it as much as my students have. Click on the picture below for your copy.

Make sure to sign up for this giveaway!  So many great products!

March of Dimes, March for Babies

Over 40 TpT sellers have come together to create bundles to benefit the March of Dimes.  We decided to put these bundles together in honor of Taytum Connor.  "Teachers for Taytum" will donate all of the profits made from the bundles in Taytum’s honor to help support the research of the March of Dimes, March for Babies.  Please check out the bundles that are available below.  There is something for everyone.

Taytum Connor was born at 29 weeks.  Taytum received medications that are available because of research promoted by the March of Dimes.  Taytum's care in the NICU would not be possible without the research and funding March of Dimes has dedicated to preterm babies.  You can read more about Taytum and the Connor family's story here.
There are several different bundles that are available for purchase.  Check out the different options below.  Click on the bundle picture below for purchase.  Each bundle is only $10... an incredible value and an incredible cause!
Thank you for helping the March of Dimes, March for Babies!

These are some awesome bundles at a great price that you just shouldn't pass up... plus the proceeds benefit a great cause in the honor of a sweet little girl!  Here is a sneak peek of what you can get in each of the bundles!

Thank you so much for your support!
